NSCDC Ogun State Commandant received the executive members of the (ALPSPN), Ogun State Chapter at the Command’s permanent site Abeokuta.
Ogun State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Headquarters, Abeokuta, Mr Kolawole Taiwo, welcomed the executive members of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN) Ogun Chapter led by the State Chapter’s Chairman, Reverend Reuben Lawani, at the Command’s Permanent Site, Owu Dekudu Village, Off Kobape Road, Abeokua, Ogun State, during the routine command’s weekly fatigue and the Inauguration of Special task force on Illegal Private guard company operators on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Mr. Yekinni Ibrahim Oladejo, the Chapter’s Secretary; Professor G B Onolaja, the Treasurer; Honourable Jigan Taiwo Ademolu, the Public Relations Officer and Mr. Raymond Okhueleigbe, Assistant Financial Secretary accompanied their Chairman.
The Chairman while reiterating the purpose of the association’s visit to the Commandant, he noted the importance of a clampdown on these illegal operators especially considering the security challenges being experienced in the nation.
The State Commandant also stated that the Private Guard Companies Department is a key mandate of the Corps and is in the frontline of the agendas of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, and the essence for the recent calls by the Commandant General to inaugurate this Special Task Force.
A task force regalia with the inscription *”NSCDC/ALPSPN Task Force”* was also instituted by the Task Force Team in order to make it more duty-bound and responsive especially for this onerous task.
Commandant Taiwo promised to give all the necessary support in ridding the department of quacks and illegal operators while also tasking them to offer intelligence which would be duly processed and actualised by the NSCDC in the general interest of the nation.
