Allied  peoples movement APM, a new party in Ogun state flagged off campaign  with the flag bearer, Hon.Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade as the governorship  candidate.

The campaign  took place at MKO Abiola International stadium in Abeokuta Ogun- state  with a massive  turn out of people at the campaign.

The APM governorship  candidate, Hon.Akinlade stated  categorically  that the mandate was given to  him represent  the good people of in-state in the forth coming  election.

The  governorship  candidate mentioned  on  thursday at the APM official campaign flag-0ff adoption of president  Muhammadu  Buhari as the presidential  candidate, also declared  their full support  for the incumbent  governor, Senator  Ibikunle Amosun, Lekan Mustapha both APC flag bearers  as  the Senatorial candidates  for ogun central  and ogun East.

Akinlade the governorship  candidate of Allied peoples movement APM who came to the venue with his deputy, Adebajo in a motorcade carrying  cassava, showing a symbol of the party. His former party APC  All progressives  Congress  earlier denied him and others the tickets  to run under  its banner.

Akinlade  in his speech said” For about two two months, you are all witnesses  that we had to fight for the freedom of our people to freely chose the government  of their choice.” Also we had to contend  with some forces that are determined  to reverse the match to prosperity  in ogun.

The governorship  candidate who is the anointed  candidate  of governor Amosun described  the crises which led to the defection along side  others from the party team as ” tortuous  and challenging “.

Akinlade described  the incumbent  governor  Amosun as his mentor  and exemplary leader he vowed to  continue  his legacy of elected as the next governor  of Ogun-state, he added that he would transform the state to the next level.” Mission  To Rebuild with improvement on education, health  facilities, health care delivery  services, road  infrastructure,  rural development  youth woman empowerment,  agriculture

The APM national chairman Mamman Yusuf  Dantalle, while adopting President  Buhari  presented  the party flag to the  governorship  candidate commented that the flag would be given to governor Amosun of APC for onward  transmission to president  Muhammadu  Buhari as a symbol  of party and adopting him as its candidate  at the poll.

The director general Tunji Ishola described  the massive  crowd as general  acceptance and victory  of the people.

The national  chairman  congratulated  the members who defected  from APC was a wise decision.  The boss advised  them to work  together  in peace and unity to ensure  success  at the poll.

The minister  of mines and steel Ishola expressed  his confidence  that APM  governorship candidate  would win the election.

The massive turnout of today Thursday shows where the votes  goes in 2019. As the people of Ogun as spoken and will decide in 2019.

Akinlade assured  that victory  is certain in 2019.
