The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has made a significant move to bolster security nationwide by deploying 38 Commissioners of Police to various State Commands and Police Formations. This strategic redeployment includes assigning 9 Commissioners of Police to key state commands, while an additional 29 will be posted to various police formations across the country. Zamfara State: CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba
Taraba State: CP Bretet Emmanuel Simon
-Yobe State: CP Christopher Ado Emmanuel
Cross River State: CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin
Niger State: CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman
Bauchi State: CP Sani Omolori Aliyu
Katsina State: CP Bello Shehu
Federal Capital Territory (FCT): CP Saka Adewale Ajao
Kwara State: CP Ojo Adekimi.
In addition to the State Command appointments, 29 Commissioners of Police (CPs) have been deployed to various police formations nationwide. This strategic move aims to tackle rising security challenges and ensure that policing is effective, responsive, and tailored to community needs.
