AIG Adegoke Decorates Newly Promoted ACPs, Charges Them to Maintain High Standards

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Fayoade Fayoade, has honored newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police with decoration on Monday, 10 March, 2025 at the Zone 2, Command Headquarters  Onikan, Lagos.

AIG Fayoade expressed his gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) for approving the promotions of the new Assistant Commissioners of Police, acknowledging their crucial role in recognizing the officers’ hard work and dedication.

AIG Fayoade emphasized the importance of professionalism and adherence to the rule of law in the newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police’s interactions with the public. He also urged them to be dedicated to combating crime and criminality within their jurisdictions, noting that their new rank brings new responsibilities. Ultimately, he reminded them that with great power comes great expectation.

ACP  Nurudeen Amodu Aliu formerly DPO Ikioyi Division

ACP Segun Abifarin formerly DPO Gowon Estate Division

ACP Adeniyi Agboola now Area Commander, Area P

ACP Stephen Abolarin  formerly DPO Dopemu Division

ACP Job  Bamidele formerly DPO Trinity Division

ACP Margret Okonkwo formerly DPO Alakuko

ACP Oyinye Onwuamagbu formerly DPO Ajah Division.

 

Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, CP Moshood Jimoh, attended the decoration ceremony, where he was joined by friends and family members of the newly promoted officers, all gathered to celebrate this significant achievement.

The newly promoted officers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to God and also thanked the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) for considering them worthy of the prestigious rank. They pledged to live up to expectations, demonstrating increased responsibility in their respective.
