In a thrilling ceremony held at Globacom’s Aminu Kano Crescent office in Abuja on Wednesday, ecstatic winners of the ongoing Glo Festival of Joy promo were presented with their prizes, marking a memorable moment in the highly successful customer reward initiative.

The lucky winners, all loyal Glo subscribers, drove away with an impressive array of prizes, including a brand-new Toyota Prado, a sleek Kia Picanto, a Keke Napep, as well as various empowerment tools such as sewing machines, grinding machines, and power generating sets, designed to enhance their livelihoods.

Sarah Ilya Madu, a federal civil servant based in Abuja, was beaming with joy as she received the keys to her brand-new Toyota Prado SUV. The special guests, Senator Simon Lalong and Senator Yemi Adaramodu, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth Development, presented her with the keys, accompanied by Glo celebrity influencers.

Sarah, a native of Borno State, was overwhelmed with shock and disbelief when she received the news that she had won a brand-new Toyota Prado in the Glo promotion draw held in Abuja last Friday. Recounting her experience at the prize presentation ceremony, Sarah revealed that she had initially thought it was a prank call and had hung up the phone multiple times when Globacom officials tried to inform her of her win, finding it too incredible to accept.

 “I was prevailed upon by my colleagues to do a video call with the staff who called me. Even when I saw the office environment, I was still doubtful.” She added that when she eventually agreed to visit the Glo office, she went with a hefty colleague just in case she was being set up”, she disclosed.

A 43-year-old businessman residing in the FCT, Ufot Victor, was hoping to win because he had been recharging frequently to meet the minimum requirements for a car. His hard work paid off handsomely when he won a brand-new Kia Picanto.

Other lucky winners also went home with tricycles (Keke), power generating sets, sewing machines and grinding machines. “I was so joyful on learning I had won a Keke,” said Ireimiya Mallo, a SIM registration agent and Nasarawa State resident who won a Keke. He said that he will use it for business purposes. Felix Gabriel, the winner of a power generation set, commended Globacom for always honoring Nigerians in its yearly advertisements.

Senator Simon Lalong commended the Globacom Chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga, Jr., for implementing the promotion for Nigerians and noted Dr Adenuga’s ardent support for sports. He expressed his hope of winning the Glo promo in the near future. Additionally, Senate spokesman and Senate Committee on Youth Development Chairman, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, stated that Globacom had always been a brand close to his heart.
