The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command has graduated 135 personnel from its Basic Arms and Weapons Handling training program.

At the passing-out parade, FCT Commandant Olusola Odumosu PhD said, “This is a worthy step taken to curb the challenges of vandalism and other vices hampering the peace and development of the Federal Territory.”

He noted the Command’s achievements, stating, “From January till date, we have arrested over 120 persons suspected to have engaged in vandalizing public facilities and the theft…with court convictions secured.”

Commandant Odumosu advised the graduates, “In discharge of your duties, always remember the rules of engagement, be professional in handling your rifles, protect yourself, protect your rifles, protect lives and property.”

He thanked FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his support, saying, “His empowerment of the command through operational vehicles, motorcycles, and gadgets has boosted our capability.”
