..Recover vehicle missing vital parts.

A 25-year-old mechanic, Adedamola Oluwaseyi ‘m’, in Ladipo, Mushin has been arrested by the operatives of the Lagos State Police Command while stripping and selling off a customer’s car in parts.

The suspect, who used to dismantle and sells vehicles meant for repairs as scrap has been arrested by men of the Mushin Police Division inside Ladipo Auto Spare Parts Market after removing and selling off a customer’s car in parts at the market.  The command announced on its X handle on Monday

It was gathered that the mechanic, after receiving vehicles from the owners for repairs, would proceed to Ladipo Spare Parts Market to sell off the vehicles in parts and his arrest followed the information received by the police operatives that he was about to do the same to a Toyota Camry that he was asked to repair.

According to a statement by the state police command through its Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Monday, when the Toyota Camry was recovered from him, the engine, the brain box, the two front tyres, among others, were missing, apparently indicating that they had been sold as parts.

The statement added that he had given more useful information to the police operatives while he is expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation into the matter.
