OGUN NSCDC GETS NEW STATE COMMANDANT.

July 5, 2022 marks another new dawn in the history of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command Headquarters, Abeokuta, as the erstwhile State Commandant, Commandant Kolawole Taiwo handed over to the new State Commandant, Commandant Niyi Liad Ajibola.

According to a statement by the state spokesman, Dyke Ogbonaya noted that  the programme which was done in three phases had first, the handing over of all State Command’s structures; documents and new flag to the new State Commandant by the outgoing State Commandant, Commandant Kolawole Taiwo.

The second phase was the handing over of the personnel at the Parade Ground of the State Command’s Permanent Site, Owu Dekudu Village, Off Kobape Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State, to the new State Commandant by the erstwhile State Commandant.

Lastly, the new State Commandant, Commandant Niyi Liad Ajibola, hoisted the new flag and officially inspected the quarter guard connoting the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.

That was the change of command from the erstwhile State Commandant to the new one and another history has begun in the pages of the State Command’s history, the people, activities and memoirs of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Ogun State.

The event did not come to an end until Commandant Kolawole Taiwo had addressed the gathering while also thanking them profusely for their cooperation and support over the past one year and some few days as the State Commandant in Ogun.

The new State Commandant, Commandant Niyi Liad Ajibola, also appreciated everyone for the warm reception and the professional conducts exhibited by the Senior Officers during the programme.

Commandant Ajibola whetted the appetite of the State Command’s Management Team by dovetailing some of his antecedents in the past years as an officer, a Senior Officer, of the Corps.

These exploits of the new State Commandant will be a whole full memoir soon to be revealed as the days unfolds and as the State Commandant settles to work firmly and fully.

It is our greatest desire that the history and the achievements of the Corps continue to improve as the State Commandants come and go so the people will continue to see and portray the officers and men of the Corps in good light amongst the committee of security agencies in the State.

Indeed, one history has been made with its achievements and the chapter for another one opened.
