FALLEN FUEL TANKER AT SURULERE, POLICE DEPLOYS OFFICERS.
A minor motor accident involving a Mark Truck with Reg. No. LAGOS 961 XJ laden with 33, 000 PMS occured at early hours about 0400hrs of today, police officers from the Surulere Divisional Headquarters were promptly mobilised to the scene at Stadium Bus Stop along Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere.

The Surulere Divisional Police Officer,  CSP Adebayo Adeoya, instantly called Fire Service, LASTMA and LASEMA officials who responded swiftly.

The police patrol teams deployed to the scene immediately cordoned off the place while providing adequate protection for the Fire fighters and others. The scene was neutralized with immediate attention given to the incident.

Concerted efforts ongoing to transload the remaining fuel and evacuate the fallen tanker. Meanwhile, the police are still maintaining their presence at the scene to protect lives and property and prevent hoodlums from scooping the fuel.

Some hours later, Fuel was successfully transloaded, fallen tanker evacuated, and road opened for traffic.
