Gov. Wike fulfilled promise, hands over N30million cheque to Police as bounty for killing bobosky.

Rivers State governor , Nyesom Wike, has fulfiled 30million bounty he placed on a notorious criminal suspect popularly known as Bobosky.

Bobosky, died at the River Police command in Port Harcourt shortly after he was caught by the Police.

Governor Wike handed over the check to the Rivers -State commissioner of Police, Mr Joseph Mukan on Thursday.

The Governor expressed his excitment and gratitude to the Police and the general public for working hard to make sure that the notorious bobosky is apprehended.

Gov. Wike was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Tammy Danagogo, assured the public that his administration will continue to ensure the safety of all Rivers people.

He added “Governor Wike will continue to stand by his words, as this is not the first time such redemption is occurring in the state. If we can recall when the Governor made a promise over Don Wani, a criminal who disturbed the peace of ONELGA, all security agencies and citizenry were activated to capture him, and the pledge was also redeemed”. “I thank the police officers for the gallantry in arresting the criminals and I also thank the informants who cannot be mentioned here”.

CP Joseph Mukan, in his remarks, thanked Governor Nyesome Wike, for fulfilling his promise.

He promised that the Police in Rivers will work with the general public to make sure it eliminate all criminal element that poses as threat to the state and to prosecute the remnants of bobosky gang, as well as another notorious gang known as VIP, terrifying the Ahoada axis of the state.
