IG of Police considers nationwide directions on POCACOV.
The Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu has directed all States in the federation to embrace the POCACOV program as a quest for total eradication of crime continues through the Nigeria Police Force nationwide campaign.
The IGP, Mohammed Adamu gave this directive after copies of the spatio temporal analysis of cultism in some parts of the country was submitted by the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices, CSP Ebere. Amaraizu and other officials of the POCACOV.
POCACOV is an initiative that would prevent the youths from joining or participating in any cultism activities.
As the campaign is centred on the principles of Community Policing, the IGP therefore suggested that POCACOV leadership be extended to all State Governors so that all States can commence the campaign, adding that it is for the overall good of the federation in its quest to repress cultism and violent crimes.
The IGP, Abubakar Adamu also appealed to the Youths, Transporters, Artisans, Rulers, Students, Market organizations and many more from all works of life to join hands with the Police Force and support the campaign.
Some members of the POCACOV leadership present during the presentation and decoration included the Force Public Relations officers, DCP Frank Mba, Provost Police Institute of Public Relations, CP Emmanuel CS Ojukwi (rtd) consultant to the IGP on media and POCACOV partner, Shina Phlips, Mr Akin Emmanuel, lead consultant POCACOV and Onuora Aninwobodo, POCACOV media officer.
