FIRE PIPELINE DESTROYED BUILDINGS IN LAGOS,THREE PERSONS CONFIRMED DEAD.

Three persons were confirmed dead while buildings were destroyed in the pipeline fire that raged on Sunday in Ekoro/ Ile-Epo axis of Abule-Egba in Lagos on Sunday.

   

The Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Agency( LASEMA), Dr Femi Osanyintolu  in a statement said: ” A raging fire from the explosion of a vandalised NNPC pipeline has caused panic among residents within Awori, U-turn and Pipeline communities in Abule Egba.“LASEMA, LAGOS fire service are responding and on top of the situation.

 

Report from who visited the area where the incident happened, observed that residents were panicky. People fled from their houses and shops were closed. Many people actually ran out of their homes in fear.
The fire was said to have spread to Igoke Estate located in the area.
At the scene of the disaster, several fire fighting trucks were on ground. The police who ostensibly came to ensure order, were also seen.
The fire was yet to be put out as at the time of filling the report.
